Spring and Summer is going to be here before you know it and i’m getting very excited to try out some of the trends i’ve been seeing! This year will be bringing a lot of changes for me and thus a lot of changes to my wardrobe. I will be starting a new job this summer and will need to add some more professional pieces to my collection but I also want to have some fun with this! From looking at magazines and blogs and doing an incredible amount of online shopping I found some trends I want to try!
1.) Culottes
For a girl that lives in skinny jeans this is a definite fashion risk but I think I can rock it! I love the look of these with a loose blouse and maybe a more structured blazer.
2.) Sleeveless Jacket
I think this will be a great layering piece that can really jazz up an outfit. I think depending on what color and cut I go for it will really polish off more professional looks and add some interest to my more everyday outfits.

3.) Pleated Midi Skirt
Whenever I see these skirts they always look so feminine an elegant. I know the inner girl in me just wants to twirl around in one! But in reality I think it would be a great staple in my work wear wardrobe
4.) Ghillie Shoes
These take me right back to my days of Irish step dancing (although that was a short lived phase…) I particularly like the flats and think that the laces make a real statement.
5.) Spanish Flair
I wasn’t entirely sure what to call this one but I have been seeing a lot of Spanish inspiration in clothes. By this I mean stuff that makes me think of a Matador…Not sure if that is appropriate fashion inspiration but i’m gonna roll with it! The flounces, fringe, and bold colors are definitely catching my eye and will add a good touch of femininity to my wardrobe.
